Living in northern British Columbia, Thibeault takes inspiration from the northern interior and coastal landscapes. 

Works for the Elements Series are abstract explorations of the substance of our surroundings. Rather than a single representation of these surroundings, Thibeault intuitively calls on an inventory of sights and experiences to inform the mark making.

The resulting works are a restructuring of an environment that seeks to capture the complete experience of first being there.
